RETURNS

You can return any Leland's Gold & Diamonds order within 30 days of its shipment -- no questions asked -- for a full refund or exchange.

Accepting Returns
If for any reason you aren't satisfied, you can return any non-engraved item in its original condition for a refund or exchange. If you have any questions about our return procedure, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Returning Your Order
To return a diamond or jewelry item to Leland's Gold & Diamonds, follow our three step process:

  • If within the US, call 888-565-7610 for a Return Authorization Code. Write this code on the return sticker found at the bottom of your original invoice and affix the sticker to the outside of the box.

  • Place all the original packaging in the box, including the appraisal and the diamond certificate. (The diamond certificate carries a $250 replacement fee.) For security reasons, only write Big D. D. in your address on the outside of the box.

  • On your invoice, if the price of the item you're returning is listed as:
    • Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination.*
    • More than $500:Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached Leland's Gold & Diamonds.* (FedEx & UPS will not insure merchandise over $500.)

Once your return is received, it will be reviewed by us. You will receive e-mail notification regarding your return or exchange within seven (7) business days.

Any unauthorized, improperly packaged, or non-insured packages will be returned to sender. Items that show signs of wear or have been resized (by a jeweler other than Leland's Gold & Diamonds), engraved, altered, or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return.

* Leland's Gold & Diamonds will not be responsible for loss or damage of return shipments.

PRIVACY POLICY

Leland's Gold & Diamonds will occasionally update its privacy statement to reflect company and customer feedback. When Leland's Gold & Diamonds posts changes to this statement, you will see the word "Updated" next to the above title "Privacy Policy". Leland's Gold & Diamonds encourages you to periodically review this page to be informed of how we are protecting your information. If you have questions or concerns about policy changes, you should contact Leland's Gold & Diamonds at exgold@connect.net or by calling our office.

How We User Your Information
Leland's Gold & Diamonds may request personal information, including your name, shipping address, telephone number, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number, and expiration date. We collect that information in order to:

  • Process an order;
  • Verify your identity for payment authorization;
  • Contact you regarding your order status;
  • Ship your order to you;
  • Send you news from Leland's Gold & Diamonds (if you request);
  • Generate anonymous statistics; and
  • Provide you with an excellent shopping experience.

    Once Leland's Gold & Diamonds gathers your name and address, this information will then be transferred to your credit card company, if applicable, for confirmation to complete your purchase. Your shipping information may also be supplied to a third-party fulfillment center, but your name and address will not be used for any other purpose than delivery of your order. Your name and address will not be sold to mailing-list firms. We will not disclose any identifying information about individual customers to any party unless written permission is sent by you, our customer.

    Updating Your Information With Us
    If the personal information you have sent to Leland's Gold & Diamonds changes or you no longer desire our service, we will gladly correct, update, or remove any personal data you have previously provided to us. To protect the information you send from your computer to our e-commerce system, your information — including your credit card number, name, and address — is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. Internally, we use encryption and Web security technologies to protect the privacy of your personal data. Only parties responsible for processing your order have access to your credit card and bank information.

    PRODUCT AVAILABILITY & PRICING

    All diamonds on the Lelandsjewelry website are currently in stock. Most settings will have to be made and usually take around 7 days to create.

    Also, infrequently, data may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. If you are in question about a product's price, please don't hesitate to contact our sales deparment for clarification. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

    SPECIAL ORDERS

    We want you to have that perfect piece of jewelry. If by chance you don't find what you're looking for on our site, you can always send us a picture or link from another website, and we'll give you a quote in a timely manner. We do this quite often and can usually beat the retail prices currently out there.

    So find that perfect ring, necklace, earring set, bracelet, or other piece of jewelry, and send it our way for a quote. We have thousands of molds to choose from, so we'll be able to make the ring of your choice.

    FANCY COLORED DIAMONDS

    At this time, we do not have fancy-colored diamonds in stock. If you would like a fancy-colored stone, please contact our sales department and we'll do our best to get you what you are looking for.

    FINANCING

    At this time, we do not offer financing but are hoping to incorporate it in our business in the future.

    RING SIZE

    If your ring does not fit, we will resize it free of charge within 45 days of its original shipment. Resizing will take approximately 10-14 business days.

    PAYMENT METHODS

    Leland's Gold & Diamonds can accept most major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Diner's Club.

    GIFT CERTIFICATE POLICIES

    For security purposes, when you redeem your gift certificate online, we require that you use a credit card. This helps us ensure your identity, and protects against fraudulent use of your gift certificate. Your credit card will not be charged unless your order total exceeds the amount of your gift certificate.

    Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, cannot be returned for a cash refund, and are not transferable. Any unused portion will remain available for future purchases under the same Gift Certificate Number. Leland's Gold & Diamonds is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.

    Lelandsjewelry gift certificates are redeemable only at www.Lelandsjewelry.com. Gift certificates and unused portions expire on the date listed on your printed gift certificate, or the date listed in your gift certificate e-mail (does not apply where prohibited by law).

    SHIPMENTS ARE INSURED

    We fully insure each order all the way to you. That means that when your order is in transit to you, shipment is always risk-free. We do not ship via FedEx since they're unable to insure high-dollar items such as diamonds.

    SHIPPING TO ALTERNATE ADDRESS

    If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address. As a security precaution, we require that your alternate shipping address be on file with your credit card company. This step helps protect you from fraudulent charges to your credit card.

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS

    We only ship to U.S. addresses at this time.

    SATURDAY DELIVERY

    If you cannot be available to receive your order on a weekday, we may be able to arrange for your order to be delivered on Saturday. Just call our sales department before you submit your order, and we will arrange a Saturday delivery for you for an additional charge. Depending on how recently you submitted your order, we may be able to arrange a Saturday delivery after you submit your order as well. UPS Saturday service, available in the vast majority of US cities, is subject to availability. Again, contact our sales department for more information.

    DIAMOND CERTIFICATES

    When you order a loose diamond, we ship it to you with the accompanying diamond grading report (also called a diamond certificate). These grading reports are lengthy, detailed documents created by diamond grading experts at one of two highly-respected diamond laboratories — making it very expensive to replace a diamond grading report. Because of this, we require each diamond grading report to be included with each returned diamond.

    If you do not include both the diamond grading report and appraisal with your return, you will be charged a replacement fee.

    LASER INSCRIPTIONS

    Many of our diamonds are laser inscribed. If you find a diamond you'd like to purchase but it does not have a laser inscription, we recommend that you purchase the diamond and send it to a diamond grading lab where they can inscribe the diamond for you.

    SALES TAX

    Currently, sales tax is only charged on orders shipped to addresses in Texas. If you live in Texas and would like to avoid sales tax, have your purchase shipped out-of-state, possibly to a friend or relative. We are not responsible for jewelry once it has been delivered to secondary parties.

    SALES & PRICE REDUCTION

    At Leland's Gold & Diamonds, we always offer the best value on the internet by providing the lowest price anywhere. All of our prices are final. You are unlikely to find "like quality" for a lesser price on the internet. We are a TRUE WHOLESALE company.

    EASY RETURNS

    To help ensure you make the right choice, we offer a very flexible return policy. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your order and it is still in new condition, you can return it for an exchange or refund. Read the details of our 30-day return policy at the top of this "Company Policies" page.

    INFORMATION ON OUR WEBSITE

    At Leland's Gold & Diamonds, we make every attempt to ensure that our online catalog is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, color and size may vary slightly.

    Our objective is to provide you with as much information and detail about your prospective purchase as possible so that you can see the beauty and shape of a particular item. In compliance with industry standards and FTC regulations, Leland's Gold & Diamonds states that carat total weight in all purchases may vary 0.05 carats from stated weight.

    On the Leland's Gold & Diamonds Web site, we display the dimensions of our products based on the information received from our manufacturers. For any convex or rounded jewelry item, the width and length stated in the product description is taken by the manufacturer, prior to the rounding of the metal in the manufacturing process, which may lead to a discrepancy in any measurements taken after this process.

    Also, for each item containing multiple diamonds, we list the average grade and measurement for color, clarity, and carat weight. These averages are calculated by adding all grades or measurements that comprise the inventory with regard to that particular piece of merchandise, and determining the closest mean.

    OUR POSITION ON CONFLICT DIAMONDS

    Leland's Gold & Diamonds is committed to offering high-quality diamonds, sourced from the world's best suppliers. As responsible citizens and jewelry merchants, we share the public's concern regarding conflict diamonds. At Leland's Gold & Diamonds, we only purchase our diamonds through respected, well-established, legal channels.

    In April 2003, President Bush passed a bill adopting the Kimberly Process that requires all U.S. diamond businesses to buy diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that the merchandise was obtained through legitimate channels. Today, the U.S. Customs Service is actively enforcing the Kimberly Process requirements as diamonds enter American ports.

    Leland's Gold & Diamonds supports the Kimberly Process. Each diamond cutter we work with obtains diamonds exclusively from legitimate sources, and they comply completely with the Kimberly Process requirements. At Leland's Gold & Diamonds, we will continue to support and promote any process that works to uphold legitimacy in the diamond trade.
